Question: Teacher Zhu, we found that your research focus in recent years is “Talks”, trying to develop a new philosophical dimension from “Talks”. Our problem is that, in terms of the past traditions of the academic community, the text we would like to study Confucian political philosophy is “Ram” or “Year and Breedy Dew”. Compared with the above two, “Travel” is not so practical on the political level. So, we’re wondering why you would choose the text “Travel” specifically? What is the difference between your research and the “Travel Rejuvenation” research that has appeared in the academic community in recent years?

 

Zhu: The first thing I want to say is that the discussion I am doing is basically not related to the traditional “Traveling School”. As you said, in the past, all texts that would be selected for studying Confucian political philosophy were “Year-God Yang” or Dong Zhongshu’s “Year-God-Ban Lu”, etc., which are called “slightly speaking, great meaning” and “respecting Confucianism alone”. For example, “The Ram of the Age” expresses its own political thoughts through classics and explains the meaning of Zhangli. If you find a little spider horse, you can use the topic to express your own explanation. This type of discussion is more closely related to how government power is applied and operated. However, in our daily lives, many sequences of concepts and resource allocation are often not only political operations, but also a reliance on the power of gifts, customs and traditions.

Back to the topic of “Travels” and career politics. You will see that there are many times in your daily life that have the power to distribute and good distribution. If there is a disagreement, how can it be doubled? Political philosophy has always been describing us the ability toward a unified future. We must use various methods to eliminate differences, whether we are rich or to say “generation has rights – preservation, unrestricted rights, and property rights”. We must seek a unified thing.
